Terms of use
These are the ground rules for using GeoSus. It is my hobby project. I am Bandwidth, my name is Jan Ráček, and I make it in my spare time. There is no company behind it. If you use the app or this website, you accept these rules. Contact: info@bandwidthyt.com.
What you get
It is a test version that changes often. I do my best but give no guarantees: it may be down, restarted or changed without warning, and I may stop running it when I run out of time.
Who can play
You should be 16 or older. If you are younger, play only with an adult who is there with you.
What you agree to do
- Read and follow the safety notice. You are responsible for where you walk and what you do there.
- Pick a name that is not abusive, not someone else's name and not personal information.
- Do not cheat with fake GPS, modified apps or by sending the server requests the app would not send.
- Do not harass other players, and do not try to break or overload the server.
- Stay out of places you are not allowed to be. The game can put a task or a map marker anywhere, including on private property or in a restricted area, and it can be wrong. Whether you go there is your decision and your responsibility. If a spot is not safe or not allowed, skip it.
Removal
I can remove a player from a game, block an ID or delete a name at any time, for example for cheating or abuse.
You play at your own risk
The app is provided as it is. GPS is inaccurate, tasks can land in a spot that turns out to be a bad place to stand, and the app does not know about traffic, weather, closed areas or other hazards. You walk outdoors on your own judgment and at your own risk. As far as the law in your country lets me say so, I am not responsible for what happens to you or your things while you play. I do not try to exclude anything the law does not allow me to exclude.
Software and content
The app uses map data from OpenStreetMap contributors (openstreetmap.org/copyright) and the Atkinson Hyperlegible Next font under the SIL Open Font License.
Changes and law
I may change these terms; the version and date at the top change with them. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new version. Rules in your country that cannot be waived still apply to you.
How your data is handled is in the privacy policy.
